Last updated: June 2026

1. Who We Are

Teach UK Recruitment (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a recruitment agency supplying teachers and education staff to schools and other education settings in the UK. These Terms of Business apply when we introduce or supply candidates to your school or organisation (“you”, “the Client”).

2. Definitions
  • Client – the school, academy, trust or other organisation that engages our services.
  • Candidate – any teacher or education professional we introduce or supply to you.
  • Introduction – when we provide you with information that identifies a Candidate (for example, CV, profile, name, or introduction call/meeting).
  • Engagement – any form of employment or engagement of a Candidate by you (directly or indirectly), whether permanent, fixed‑term, temporary, supply, or via another company or umbrella.
3. Our Services
  • Source and introduce suitable Candidates based on your requirements.
  • Carry out reasonable checks in line with safer recruitment and safeguarding expectations (see our Safeguarding Statement).
  • Communicate with you and the Candidate throughout the recruitment process.
4. Your Responsibilities
  • Provide accurate information about the role, pay, hours, duties and required qualifications.
  • Comply with all relevant employment, safeguarding and health & safety laws.
  • Carry out your own required checks (for example, DBS, barred list, references, right‑to‑work) where applicable.
  • Inform us promptly if you engage a Candidate we have introduced, or decide not to proceed with a Candidate we have put forward.

We do not guarantee that any particular Candidate will be suitable or will remain in post for a specific period.

You are responsible for the day‑to‑day direction, supervision and control of any Candidate working in your school.

5. Fees and Charges
  • Permanent / fixed-term placements – a fee based on a percentage of the Candidate’s first-year gross remuneration.
  • Temporary / supply bookings – an hourly or daily charge rate, which may include our margin, holiday pay and other statutory costs.
6. Payment Terms
  • Invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • We reserve the right to charge interest and/or late payment charges on overdue invoices in line with applicable law.

Fees become payable when you engage a Candidate we have introduced, whether directly or indirectly. All fees are exclusive of VAT.

If invoices remain unpaid, we may suspend further services or supply of Candidates until payment is received.

7. Cancellations and Rebates

Any rebate, replacement or cancellation terms will be set out in your specific agreement or fee schedule (if applicable). Where no such terms are agreed in writing, no automatic rebate or replacement will apply.

9. Safeguarding and Conduct
  • Follow your own safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Provide appropriate induction and safeguarding training to Candidates.
  • Inform us promptly of any serious safeguarding or conduct concerns.
8. Confidentiality and Data Protection

Both parties agree to keep confidential any information shared about Candidates, schools and business matters, except where disclosure is required by law. We handle personal data in line with our Privacy Policy and data protection law.
