1. Purpose of This Policy
Teach UK Recruitment is committed to providing a professional, fair and reliable service to candidates and schools. If something goes wrong, we want to know so we can put it right and improve. This policy explains how you can raise a complaint and how we will handle it.

3. How to Make a Complaint
You can make a complaint by emailing complaints@TeachUKrecruitment.co.uk or by writing to us at our office address.
Please include:

Your name and contact details

Whether you are a candidate, school or other party

What happened, including dates and people involved

The outcome you are hoping for
If you need help making a complaint, we will support you where possible.
4. What You Can Complain About
You may raise concerns about:

Treatment by staff or handling of your application

Fairness, equal opportunities or discrimination

Safeguarding or professional conduct

Data protection or privacy handling
Safeguarding concerns are treated as a priority and handled in line with our Safeguarding Policy.
5. How We Handle Your Complaint
Step 1 – Acknowledgement: We will acknowledge your complaint within 2 working days (same day for safeguarding concerns) and may request further information.
Step 2 – Investigation: We will review records, correspondence and any relevant information as part of a thorough investigation.
Step 3 – Response: We aim to provide a written response within 10 working days, explaining our findings and any actions taken.
6. If You Are Not Satisfied
If you remain unhappy with our response, you're welcome to ask us to reconsider. You may also contact independent external bodies, such as the ICO (for data concerns), your local authority or safeguarding board (for safeguarding matters), or relevant professional/regulatory bodies.
7. Confidentiality and Data Protection
We handle complaints sensitively and store records securely in line with our Privacy Policy and data protection law. Complaint records are retained for audit and compliance purposes.
8. Review of This Policy
We review this Complaints Policy regularly, and whenever there are significant changes in law or guidance, to ensure it remains effective and up to date.
